Edward Bromfield sermon notes, 1682-1803, bulk: 1682-1721.

Collection consists of six vols. of sermon notes kept by Edward Bromfield of Boston, Mass., 1682-89, four vols. of sermon notes kept by his son Edward Bromfield, Sept. 1713- Nov. 1721, a vol. of sermon notes kept by his mother-in-law Mary Rock, 28 July- 7 Oct. 1687, and a mostly blank expense book probably kept by Thomas Robert (T.R.) Bromfield, 15 Apr. 1803. Notes pertain to sermons preached by ministers in Boston, Mass., including Cotton Mather, Samuel Willard, Thomas Willett, Ebenezer Pemberton, Joseph Sewall, Thomas Prince, John Webb, and Benjamin Wadsworth, among others. Also includes an unverified transcription of Bromfield's 1693 vol. by Mark A. Peterson, 1994.
